Accountant Senior and Project Lead - Finance
This is a regular, salaried, day shift position, 1.00 FTE, 40 hours per week.

Salary Scale: Placement within the salary scale is dependent on years of work experience. The salary scale is reviewed on an annual basis for market comparison and may change in pace with the market.
Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of divisional financial statements, analyses, reconciliation and other financial reporting used by external and internal parties. Responsible for analysis of patient accounts receivable reserves and self-insurance reserves. Prepares balance sheet analysis schedules, cash flow statements, and reconciles inter-company accounts. Coordinates the annual external audit and drafts audited financial statements and footnotes. Understands, oversees and validates integrity of data interfaces from sub-systems. Works directly with all levels of management in communicating financial matters. Assist in maintaining the flow and balance of work and in helping to solve problems in areas where a full-time supervisor is not called for. Plan and coordinate daily work schedules and ensure that daily operations of the group function smoothly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
There are no legal requirements. CPA preferred.
? Three to five years of related accounting experience in a complex business environment, preferably in healthcare. Experience in leading and directing the work of others.
? Requires proven analytical skills. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple projects. Should be a self-starter with the ability to build trust, be a team player and provide excellent customer service. Must be able to problem solve and recognize inconsistent and/or unreasonable relationships.
? Must possess a thorough understanding of GAAP, strong analytical and research skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
? Proficiency in Excel, Word and large, sophisticated accounting software systems is essential (i.e., Peoplesoft).
? Prefer public accounting experience.
