The Director of Finance, Agency Markets Business Unit will report to the VP of Finance. The Finance Director will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Agency Markets business unit (Vertafore’s largest division). This person will be the finance partner to the President of Agency Markets by providing strategic financial and analytical support and will participate in the decision-making process.
· Key responsibilities include:
o Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for Agency Markets.
o Monthly business reviews addressing financial and operating performance.
o Business case analysis.
o Financial analysis and diligence assistance in acquisitions, joint ventures, and other new business opportunities.
o Develop methodology and provide analytical support for making quality data-driven decisions.
· Evaluate new product initiatives and the potential impact on stakeholder value.
· Provide decision-making support and advice to business partners, based on sound financial planning and analysis, identifying operational and product trends and using this knowledge to aid in the maximization of company revenue and profit.
· Rapidly implement and improve new business processes in a developing, rapidly growing market space.
· Manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
Background and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
· MBA is preferred.
· 10+ years of finance experience, preferably in a high growth, fast paced technology company.
· Must have a ”roll up your sleeves” approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking. This is a role that requires resourcefulness, strategic thinking and exceptional leadership skills to add value to the short and long term business planning aspects of the company as part of the senior leadership team.
· Experience leading and managing a team of high quality professionals.
· Highly analytical, rigorous, and quantitative individual. Comfortable working in a growing and changing organization.
