Starting Pay:
$11.00 per hour - PB I* (Less than 1 year of new account experience)
$11.25 per hour- PB II* (1 or more years of new account experience)
$12.00 per hour - PB III* (5 or more years of new account experience)
*Placement is dependent upon prior new accounts experience as shown above.
Under general supervision will perform sales, service and loan activities. Successful candidates will have the ability to leverage knowledge of products and services, which will include deposit, loan, merchant, investment, Trust and cash management programs to profile clients and assist in the selection of financial products that best fit the needs of the individual client. Will learn and be required to adhere to Personal Banker guidelines and various banking compliance & regulations related to new account opening and lending. Personal Bankers must be highly motivated to achieve quarterly sales and loan results and will assist the management team in mentoring teller staff through sales campaigns and product knowledge training.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 1 year of new accounts experience or related experience in a teller role where incumbent was consistently achieving sales goals or sales experience in an environment where sales were measured and rated regularly. Prior loan experience desired.
* Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, correspondence and memos.
* Ability to create general correspondence and communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings with customers and other employees of the organization.
* Basic math skills.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products to include, Word & Excel.
* Demonstrated banking or financial industry experience and/or successful retail sales background highly desirable.
* Strong listening/probing skills to enable incumbents to identify customer needs and effectively match with bank products and services, to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and use reason when dealing with emotional topics.
* Demonstrated effective time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and accomplish work assignments under tight schedules.
* Ability to meet bonding requirements for employment purposes.
