| DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Clean and disinfect classrooms, offices, physical education areas, hallways, stairwells, health rooms, kitchens, lunchrooms, staff areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
- Operate heat and circulation controls for automated HVAC system.
- Set up, take down and move furniture and equipment for a variety of activities.
- Perform in-depth cleaning of buildings and minor and routine maintenance activities during school breaks; assist maintenance workers and supervisor with special projects as directed.
- Change lights and perform other minor maintenance duties as needed.
- Interact with after-hours users, delivery personnel, and others, to provide safe and authorized access to building areas.
- Secure doors, alarms, and windows, and take other security precautions as needed.
- Notify supervisor and/or building manager concerning the need for major repairs or modifications to lighting, heating, and/or ventilating equipment.
- Perform support duties as required by school administrators.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

| EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: |
High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree), with two (2) years of custodial or janitorial experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some positions may require a valid Washington State driver's license or evidence of mobility. |
| EMPLOYMENT INFO / APPLY TO: |
Work is typically performed in a building environment. Incumbent is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods; climb, balance, crouch, crawl, bend, or kneel. May be required to work with a variety of individuals. Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. May be exposed to bodily fluids and cleaning materials, requiring the use of protective gloves and other precautions. More extensive supervision is usually required for persons in this position.
The job duties/responsibilities of this position have been identified as High Risk (reasonably anticipated to have exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens). Employees in this position are required to complete annual Bloodborne Pathogen (HIV/Hepatitis B) renewal training and are eligible to receive Hepatitis B immunizations paid for by Everett Public Schools.
