Vertafore has an opening for a Business Analyst I in Bothell, WA. This position is a 4,10 schedule, working Wednesday through Saturday. Please only reply if this work schedule fits your availability.
Requirements:
- Perform database migrations, conversions, consolidations, and upgrades.
- Participate in requirements gathering, business analysis, and innovative solution development directly with customers for custom integrations, queries, and systems enhancements.
- Develop technology and technical design for new and existing software products.
- Participates in product design, bug verification, release testing, and beta support for agile software projects.
- Will perform QA on developed products and assist in the resolution of identified issues.
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits
- Assists in performing on-site client work on complex applications.
- Documentation of developed products and participates in release planning and execution
- Researches new technology or BA tools to remain informed of current technology.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience with upgrades, conversions, and consolidations.
- Stored Procedure knowledge and scripting experience is preferred
- Participation in Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL) efforts or other efforts to transition or upgrade databases is strongly preferred.
- Research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
- Demonstrable understanding of development process.
- Superb communications/interpersonal skills.
- Skills in integration/extraction with Excel a plus.
- Familiarity with MS SQL, TSQL, SPROC development and scripting, C#, Java, XML, HTML is desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
Experience Recommended:
- 3 to 6 years of experience with increasing responsibility levels in Business Analysis
