The System Analyst's role is to deliver technical support for the supply services running on multiple server farms. This includes providing system level support for Operating System, in-house developed services, software tools, installation of new services, configuration, maintenance, and capacity review. In this roll you will also work closely with the development organization to resolve issues as they arise. Incident/Problem Management Investigate and diagnose the resolution of incoming application incident tickets related to owned services Focus on providing temporary workarounds to immediately resolve critical work stoppage issues Collaborate with development, Network Operation Center (NOC), 3rd party vendors to develop long-term solutions to open issues or upcoming projects Author supporting documentation and deliver training to the NOC Perform weekly system review for systems owned. Perform post deployment system reviews to identify potential problem areas Participate in Major releases Take shifts on On-Call rotation Qualifications: 3+ years experience supporting ecommerce site Requires a B. S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience. Familiarity with Windows Server family of products , basic understanding of SQL Server 20002005 Sound understanding of relational databases, PC architecture, and networking fundamentals Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly self-motivated and directed Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Strong customer service focus Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Server or network administration a plus ITIL familiarity or certification a plus
