Position Description
Expedia Local Expert (ELE) offers face-to-face personalized recommendations and assistance in booking events, activities, tours, attractions and other services that travelers seek in their destinations. ELE focuses on providing exceptional service to our guests, our lodging partners, and our supply partners. We help travelers get the most out of each destination, which in turn helps our lodging partners develop loyal guests and helps our supply partners grow their businesses. ELE professionals are passionate and knowledgeable about their markets. With access to a rich portfolio of thousands of tours and adventures, ELE operates concierge and activity desks in nearly 100 hotels and other retail locations across Hawaii; in Las Vegas, Nevada; Orlando, Florida, San Diego and San Francisco, California; and in the major resorts of Mexico.
We are currently searching for a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to work closely with HQ and regional management teams to provide in-depth analysis of sales performance. Through providing rigorous analysis, timely reporting and developing solid recommendations, this position will help ensure that the sales teams meet and exceed targets. The right candidate for this position is a self-starter, team player and able to effectively communicate results and trends to sales teams and management.
Responsibilities include:
? Utilize various reports and reporting systems to perform analysis on sales data
? Evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of various sales outlets
? Investigate changes in sales trends and provide recommendations
? Coordinate with Finance Manager to ensure useful financial reporting and forecasting that is timely and accurate.
? Perform activities to support the administration of multiple sales incentive plans
? Document and decipher business requirements for various compensation plans
? Ensure accurate sales incentive calculations as defined by the plans
? Provide ongoing business presentation support
? Participate in special projects as needed
Requirements include:
? Business degree (or related discipline) and 4 years analyst experience, preferably in a retail business
? Strong skills in Excel (knowledge of formulas, V-lookups and pivot tables), Access and MS Office
? Ability to model business scenarios
? Demonstrated proficiency of handling multiple projects within a deadline
? Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
? A high energy level, sense of urgency, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
? Understanding of variable compensation theories and concepts
? Sales compensation administration experience
? Experience defining, implementing, and supporting business processes
? Experience analyzing large volumes of data and/or systems
