Acting as a program manager, work closely with customers and internal personnel, serve as focal point on assigned programs for logistical, commercial and technical issues. Function as team leader for the company on new programs providing leadership, direction and coordination of all company activities.
Develop and maintain broad-based relationships with major OEM accounts to identify business opportunities, understand customer requirements, obtain necessary market intelligence and manage sales programs to from inception to successful closure. Lead technical and commercial discussions, both internally and externally, to formulate plans, assessments, and solutions to secure targeted (existing, new, and potential) business. Coordinate cross-functionally internal and external resources to achieve prescribed objectives.
- Assume leadership role on internal project teams while managing multiple project tasks
- Advise customers on all questions of a technical nature
- Prepare and transmit communications of contractual and technical nature to customers and to company departments, including formal memoranda, pricing matrices, and project schedules
- Receive and process inquiries for reorders and recognize potential sales opportunities
- Provide change quotations and negotiate contract changes within established guidelines
- Work with confidential information discreetly and appropriately
Skills, Education, and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge
- Experience: prior project management experience; prefer minimum of 5 years
- Effective at problem solving
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with potential to become an effective and polished communicator, including the ability to present information effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated aptitude for computer and information systems in a manufacturing and office environment, including proficiency with MS Office products and project scheduling software
- Able to rapidly develop working knowledge of EMFCO products and customer requirements
- Career level: experienced, non-manager
