General Purpose of this Position To serve as a key part of TAA’s Professional Service’s force, performing all pre- and post-sale technical activities. To develop key strategic accounts within the Federal Business in order to further the sales goals of TANDBERG.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provide onsite support which includes interoperability tests, troubleshooting activities, pre-sales activities and product presentations • Provide remote (audio/video) support to resolve video issues. Provide prompt responses to direct calls from customers • Create network diagrams for present and future video conferencing infrastructure • Support day to day video operations for high level executives at named accounts • Create test plans, dial plans and job aids for customers and their internal users • Provide Consulting, Training & Installations of TAA videoconferencing solutions products (MPS, Gatekeeper, Gateway, Movi, TMS, Codian, TCS) and Integrations (Exchange, Domino, OCS, LCS) • Work closely with the TAA product support team to resolve any escalated issues. • Remain abreast of technical developments in TAA equipment and peripherals, as well as those of competitors • Remain abreast of major current and emerging developments in the videoconferencing industry • Develop awareness of customer’s business and communication needs and lead the sales team in formulating appropriate solutions and options • Provide product demonstrations and proposals, price quotations and information regarding product service and delivery • Work with sales engineers to ensure customer is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of TAA products and services • Plan and organize work and schedules • In concert with immediate manager, develop long- and short-term objectives, goals, forecasts and implementation strategies for service sales activity and productivity primarily linked to a set of Named Accounts • Develop new prospects according to plan • Develop proposals for prospective customers
Skills and Abilities • 3+ years experience with Federal Networks (NIPRnet, SIPRnet, DISN) • 5+ years Video Conferencing • 5+ years Telecommunication/ IT experience • 5+ years Networking experience • 5+ years Professional Services • 3+ Experience with ISDN, V.35 protocols • Operate all TAA products • Excellent customer skills for both internal and external customers; • Relate well to employees at all levels of the customer organization; • Provide liaison among all TAA groups and departments engaged in the sales, delivery, installation function; • Plan and implement work independently.
Computer Ability Microsoft Office
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree Engineering or 5+ years experience in Video Communication.
Working conditions Normal office environment. 70% travel.
