Position Summary
The role of the Manager is to develop and implement HR strategies that support our business objectives and values. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work, possess strong interpersonal and project management skills. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage tactical Human Resources staff functions with emphasis on Payroll and Benefit Administration, Leave Administration, Employee Relations, Training, Recruiting, management of employee activity programs and support business continuity planning initiatives.
GIA uses the latest ADP web based software for Payroll processing. Experience with this software is highly desired.
The HR Manager will work closely with business leaders to ensure HR programs and services support and facilitate GIA’s business objectives. We are seeking someone with a solid HR background to work closely with the other departmental leaders while directing all aspects of human resources initiatives. The selected individual will be able to build internal business partnerships, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and offer creative solutions to business issues. This position requires understanding of federal and state HR related regulations and compliance procedures.
Job Responsibilities
• Translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate HR actions and initiatives.
• Coach business leaders on issues of effective team building and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives including the new HRIS system.
• Work closely with management staff in the appropriate handling of employee relations issues.
Minimum Job Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is required; an advanced degree would be a plus.
5-10 years of progressive HR experience in a complex high growth environment;
Human Resource experience in payroll and benefit administration, employee communication and hiring, knowledge of basic HR law and applications is required.
