Come be part of our Winning Team!!! TripleNet Technologies has a full time job for an Risk and Insurance Specialist with a transporation agency leading the way in light rail in the Puget Sound Region.
Position Title: Risk & Insurance Specialist
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Risk Manager, assume management responsibility for the procurement and maintenance of Agency’s risk and insurance coverage programs. Assist with development, implementation, management and administration of commercial insurance programs in all lines of coverage including; commercial property, builder’s risk, primary general liability, excess liability and umbrella, commercial automobile, professional liability, contractors pollution liability, and pollution legal liability. Practical experience with Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP). Able to identify Agency operations risks and develop contractual and risk financing solutions. Assist Risk Manager in developing programs to keep pace with the ever-evolving construction and mass transit industry and growth of the Agency’s capital improvement and rail operations. High level of urgency, commitment to detail and professionalism should be shown at all times.
Qualifications:
B.A. required; M.B.A. or equivalent preferred with concentration in public administration, business administration, finance, risk and insurance management, or in a comparable discipline.
Minimum of 6-8 years experience in the insurance industry as an insurance underwriter, broker, or risk management consultant, with practical knowledge and understanding of all commercial insurance coverages, self-insurance, risk financing, and alternative risk transfer methodologies. Ability to multi-task and flexibility to work in collaboration with internal and external partners. Competent in the interpretation of insurance policy coverages, limits of liability, terminology, legal defense provisions, insurance litigation, construction contract disputes, change orders, and the ability to read construction project schedules and associated construction contract documents. Self-motivated, detailed-oriented professional with excellent organization and presentation skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
Commercial insurance experience with focus on construction risk & agency operations, understand insurance underwriting, construction law background & general liability experience a plus!
