Position Description Position reports to the Sr. Manager of Health and Safety in Engineering, Operations & Technology (EOT) Environment, Health, and Safety. Position will be responsible for coordinating, leading, and providing expertise on occupational health and safety issues, including workplace fall protection, machine guarding, hazardous energy, employee safety training and other safety topics. Position will utilize the principles of process management and LEAN to facilitate and lead improvements in the incident investigation and notification and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordkeeping and workplace injury statistics processes. Independently performs a variety of analytical, cost benefit analysis and administrative tasks regarding incident data that support safety and health program management such as regulatory compliance, risk management in the work place, incident prevention, etc. Plans, develops, implements and assesses occupational heath and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Develops and leads training and instructions. Evaluates, interprets, and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations. Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies. Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues. Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections. Plans and conducts health and safety audits. Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions.
