Director of Interactive Marketing
The Opportunity
Lead a small team of highly motivated, highly qualified marketing professionals to achieve key marketing metrics, grow the business, and reinforce Onvia’s brand and dominant market position. This is a hands-on role ideal for a candidate who wants to have an immediate, direct impact on a successful, growing, publicly-traded company.
Core Deliverables and Responsibilities
Establish the strategy for the digital engine, including SEM, SEO, email, web, blog, digital PR, retention and social media
Optimize media placement to drive sales across channels, measured by LTV incorporating costs, conversion rates, and retention impacts
Provide thought leadership for the organization on the Onvia customer and online and direct marketing programs
Manage lead pipeline to meet business / sales goals by balancing quantity and quality, and ensure a lead prioritization model is in place and constantly improved
Take leadership role for Marketing’s relationship and synergy with Sales and Product Teams
Develop creative and testing strategies across channels, utilizing knowledge of industry best practices and supported by ROI analytics
Establish and clearly communicate
Marketing metrics as measured by financial success and ROI on spend
Build and cultivate a comprehensive
prospect database that is growth-oriented, accurate, timely and comprehensive
Manage the strategy for the campaign calendar based on market, Onvia, and client events
Participate with senior team to establish cross-organizational strategic plans and objectives, and provide credible, accurate forecasting to senior team
Required Experience, Skills and Education
Deep experience in developing, presenting and implementing innovative strategic marketing plans, with structured analytical processes in terms of segmentation and targeting
Expertise in integrating marketing channels, including public relations, direct marketing, advertising, online marketing communications, etc for measureable results
Demonstrated success at launching new products/releases via a direct sales channel
Strong experience driving acquisition and contributing to the growth of existing clients
Solid track record at managing and growing a successful marketing organization of scope and complexity
History of close collaboration and partnership with sales, customer service and support
Experience in growing an emerging brand and managing a leading brand
Ability to provide both strategic and hands on direction
Proven success working in a matrixed organization, with the customer at the center
Balance of strategic, analytical, creative and operational orientation
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
Experience in information services / data product subscriptions desired but not required
8-12 years of marketing experience in
the B2B or B2G space
BA/BS or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred
