Position Description
Expedia’s Media Solutions team is looking for an entrepreneurial, creative and detailed oriented professional who will be responsible for planning/ executing our marketing, PR and event strategy. We are looking for a thought leader with strong expertise in marketing, PR, lead generation, event planning, brand development and GTM activities to establish Expedia in the digital media space. Expedia is investing heavily in the advertising business and Media Solutions will be a crucial driver of Expedia Inc’s overall revenues.
Candidates must have a marketing background with an emphasis in online advertising. Ideal candidates will have experience executing B2B marketing campaigns, coordinating events and partnering with sales to deliver sales collateral. Collaboration is a “must-have” and will be a critical component when contributing successfully to the team.
Responsibilities:
-Execute go-to-market strategies for Expedia Media Solutions offerings including creation and updating of outbound sales/marketing collateral materials, presentations, white papers, feature/product sheets, newsletters, case studies and other collateral as needed to support sales and product management
-Establish marketing project schedules (work-streams, milestones and deliverables) and manage progress to ensure on-time delivery
-Tradeshow planning and coordination including booth and graphics design assistance as well as logistical support
-Execute lead generation and demand creation programs (e.g., online marketing, email campaigns, search marketing, content sponsorships, direct mail) as outlined by marketing plan
-Ongoing maintenance of online media kit to include most up to date information on media offering, case studies and ad specs
-Create and manage internal share point as a central repository of sales and marketing materials
Skills and Requirements:
-3-5 years of relevant work experience in marketing communications, online advertising, event management and product development
-BA/ BS degree and 2+ years in marketing, preferably with focus on B2B marketing communications, advertising or promotions agency; online marketing experience a plus
-Hands-on experience with managing events and the creation of print collateral and other marketing materials from scratch and driving to completion
-Experience working directly sales, advertising agencies, advertisers and other online sales channels
-Strong individual contributor with exceptional organizational and communications skills
-Sharepoint, Salesforce.com, ExactTarget skills a plus
-MBA preferred (not required)
