JOB SUMMARY:
Staff applies payments received via bank locked box to patient’s Pacific Medical Centers Accounts Receivable. Posts cash, contractual adjustments and denial codes to the properly selected patient invoice. Other tasks include changing patient’s financial codes, providing for secondary billing, requesting adjustments or refunds and balancing posting batches.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Billing, collection or cash application experience in a physician group practice preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Basic knowledge of accounts receivable.
• Good data entry skills and ability to use 10-key by touch with high accuracy rate.
• Working knowledge of automated computer systems and Microsoft Windows is preferred.
• Analytical skills to interpret, problem solve and respond to problem accounts is a plus.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
