Job Summary
The Director of Dental Services plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the administrative and clinical functions of the dental services and programs of the organization. In addition, the Director serves as a member of the senior management team. As a practicing dentist, the Director provides dental care to all age groups in accordance with the State of Washington Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice and applies diagnostic and therapeutic dental services to Community Health Center of Snohomish County patients, while making reasonable and sound assessments and treatment plans within the scope of the CHC dental program.

• Provides leadership and direction for the dental program.
• Articulates organizational vision and develops and implements organizational strategic initiatives relative to the dental program.

• Possess excellent dental clinical skills.
• Exercises sound judgment, tact and diplomacy.
• Evaluates and effectively addresses highly complex issues and problems.
• Appropriately delegates work, sets expectations and monitors activities of subordinate managers and staff.
• Works independently and is self-directed.
• Ability to support, motivate and sustain a team-oriented culture.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred:
• Bilingual language skills.

Education
• Graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry.
Preferred:
• Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice.

Experience
• Seven (7) years of experience as a practicing Dentist.
• Three (3) years in senior level/director position with supervisory responsibilities.
Preferred:
• Experience in a community health or public health clinic setting.
• Experience working in single or multi-specialty medical group
• Experience working with electronic dental records (EDR).

Credentials
• Current Washington State Dentist license.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED). Certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment.
• Valid DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certification.
Preferred:
• Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate.

Other
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.
