NetVersant is currently interviewing for a dynamic, solution oriented, National Account Sales Director.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Works with general guidance under the Vice President Enterprise Sales & Marketing to develop business with new and existing customers within a multi-state region. Achieves national sales operational objectives by contributing national sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining national sales system improvements; implementing change.
The National Account Sales Director should be experienced with solution oriented sales across one or more of the company’s multiple lines of business. A background in Cisco wireless W/LAN sales, enterprise level structured cabling or IP Physical Security is preferred.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ KNOWLEDGE
* Interacts, communicates with and responds to existing customer base to identify and respond to sales opportunities.
* Attends customer walkthroughs and project meetings to determine project needs and implement solutions for current customers.
* Develops, maintains and creates relationships with client, vendors and internal departments.
* Delivers concise, organized, comprehensive presentations.
* Builds a pipeline of new customers.
* Meets or exceeds established annual sales quota.
* Specifies, designs and estimates materials and labor necessary for project completion.
* Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for national account customers.
* Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
* Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with regional supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
* Supports the proposal writing process by developing written, detailed scopes of work and conceptual design narratives.
* Provides ongoing market analysis and intelligence (i.e. market-by-market Sales Plans, etc.).
* Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Job Requirements :
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED
* 8-10 years of outside sales experience with 5 years selling to high level accounts.
* 3-4 years of sales experience with Enterprise Level Physical Security, Telephony, Cisco Wireless or Structured Cabling systems.
* Experience with major channel resellers, collaborative solution selling, outside account management and end-user sales are required.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop strong personal and business relationships with each customer, support person, channel partner and internal partner.
* Must possess an ability to rapidly assimilate technical knowledge.
* Effective oral and written communication skills with customers and sales personnel.
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* BA/BS degree is desired
