Position Description
Expedia is looking for a highly motivated sales professional who wants to be part of a world-class media sales organization.
This position will be supporting the Western US, except California.  This position can be located in Bellevue, WA or Las Vegas, NV. 
Be a part of the team that’s creating online media campaigns for the travel industry’s largest suppliers. Use your creative marketing, online advertising, and relationship management skills to establish Expedia as the worlds number one online travel marketplace.


Responsibilities:
• Negotiate and sell online advertising campaigns to Expedia’s top tier tourism board, hotel and airline partners.
• New business development will be a focus.
• Work with Executive-level marketing professionals to develop campaigns, which requires strong relationship building and a polished approach.


• The Account Executive will be focused on developing online solutions that drive awareness and promote value in the customer’s products, services and brands.
• Develop account opportunities and define the Expedia promotional products to meet the account’s needs, and sell/close product packages to meet their business goals.
• Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and manage complex relationships
• This person will interface with the product team and merchandising to define new product offerings and work with management on sales strategy.
• Excellent service is required to ensure that you meet or exceed client satisfaction.
• Work with Ad Operations to facilitate campaign implementation


Qualifications:
• Strong sales and marketing skill set
•  Experience in online media is essential
• Understanding of travel industry distribution preferred
• An excellent client service and relationship building ethic
• Excellent communication skills – in both written and oral presentation


• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Solid decision making and problem solving skills
• To succeed in this position the individual must thrive in a fast-paced goal oriented environment
• Approximately 40% travel required


Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
• Bachelor's degree
• MBA preferred
• 5+ years experience in internet and/or online advertising specifically in the Las Vegas, Nevada marketplace
