We are looking for more than one sales professional. One will work out of our Seattle headquarters office and the other could work out of our New Jersey office or other location east of the Rockies, if that location will have an impact on sales growth. We are serious about the desire to have food service seafood sales background so we aren't in a hurry.
Here are some of the key experience and attributes we are looking for:
Of course you have to have proven success selling seafood to food service organizations. We want someone who can have an immediate impact on sales. If you have sold frozen seafood products - even better.
We are also looking for someone who has business acumen not just a sales personality. This means that you don’t just sell, you understand margins and can manage the inventory you are selling appropriately communicating, as needed. It also means you understand a travel budget and the r.o.i. involved with developing a travel plan. This role won’t be traveling all the time, only when it makes sense.
Our sales role requires someone who is professional in all aspects of their dealings. We need someone who leaves the right impression with anyone he/she is in contact with while representing our brand.
Career-wise, this is likely a mid-level position unless we see a resume that changes our mind. Salary will be based on qualifications and proven experience.
Other attributes and skills? You have to be literate in the Microsoft office suite and you have to be able to write professional emails along with the ability to deliver winning presentations.
