Duties & Responsibilities
The Resident Monitor I primary responsibility is to assist and support residents in community reintegration. Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, staff and visitors, provide quality services and structured programming designed to promote risk reduction and successful community transition for residents. Supervise and monitor residents’ whereabouts, activity and rule compliance at all times. Participate in professional development and skill enhancement seminars. Share training knowledge with co-workers. Work in partnership with case manager to achieve program goals and provide quality, outcome oriented services to residents. Provide written record of shift events in log book; prepare informational, infraction and incident reports as necessary. Conduct searches and drug and alcohol monitoring. Assist in/or supervise delivery, storage, preparation and service of meals. If applicable, transport residents to outside activities in accordance with program policy.
Education & Experience Required
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Course work, continuing education and/or training in human service field preferred.
· Valid WA State Drivers license required.
· WA State Food Handlers Card
· Preference given to individuals familiar with community corrections program.
