Position Description
The Expedia Contact Center Technology team is looking for a motivated, self-directed Database Developer to add to its Contact Center Development team. Your primary focus will be developing ETL processes using SSIS for our contact center data mart. In a small team of developers, you'll be working with Program Management, Test, Operations, and other Software Development Engineers to implement and support highly scalable, reliable applications for use in Expedia’s worldwide contact centers.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop ETL processes using SSIS for SQL Server 2005
• Design and develop data mart schemas
• Collaborate with architects, program managers, quality assurance engineers, and other software design engineers throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in team meetings and help define best practices and processes
• Work in a support role for solving complex/escalated issues related to current applications
• Create complete and well written usage documentation.
• Review and provide feedback on project plans, development and test specifications
Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience designing and developing production quality databases
• 1+ year experience developing production quality SSIS packages
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (knowledge of Kimball methodology a plus)
• Experience with job scripting and scheduling technologies, such as Perl, VBScript, SQL Agent and Windows batch scripts
• Familiarity with intelligent call management data structures (Cisco, Genesys, Avaya, etc) strongly preferred
• Experience with AIM Technology, Business Objects, SQL Analysis Services, and other reporting and contact center software solutions a plus.
• A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills
• Knowledge of client/server and/or Internet technologies such as .Net a plus
