Vertafore has an opening for a Sr. Software Engineer in Bothell, WA!


 


Responsibilities:


 


·         Develop and lead technology efforts and direct complex technical design projects for new and existing software products.


·         May lead, train and/or direct the activities of a small team of developers.


·         Performs product design, bug verification, release testing, and beta support on applications software projects which may require research and analysis. May assist in performing on-site client work.


·         Performs complex product design, system analysis, and programming activities on applications software which may require research


·         Performs design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems.


·         Participates in product design meetings


·         Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits


·         Enhance existing software for improved longevity, reduced maintenance, and improved performance


·         Documentation of development work


·         Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.


 


 


Requirements:


 


·         Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.


·         5 to 9 years of experience with increasing responsibility levels in developing .NET-based applications with C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, AJAX, XML, Web Services, HTML, CSS.


·         Strong desire for a generalist who is able to contribute at all levels – user interface rapid prototyping, modeling business objects, developing SQL stored procedures, troubleshooting production issues, etc…


·         Analytical and database design skills including modeling experience in translations of logical to physical database architecture.


·         Thrives in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced Agile environment. Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and develop solutions without fully defined requirements.


·         Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans.


·         Passionate about software and technology.


·         Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.


·         Oracle development experience a plus.


·         Knowledge of legacy systems (Delphi, mainframes) a plus.


·         Conversion-related process and technology experience a plus.


·         .NET 3.5 (WPF, WCF, LINQ) experience a plus.
